Research on Rapid Prototyping Light-curing Resin Using Full Protection UV Curing Box

Our chemical raw materials products span photninitiators, water treatment agents, pharmaceutical intermediates, pesticide intermediates and so on.
SLA rapid prototyping technology was first developed by 3D System in the United States. Its working principle is this: After the layered processing of the machine ’s software, the three-dimensional solid data file transmitted by the computer drives a scanning laser head to emit ultraviolet laser The beam is scanned on the surface of the liquid ultraviolet photosensitive resin. Those points on the surface layer of the liquid resin that are irradiated by the light beam are polymerized to form a solid state. After the scanning of each layer is completed, the working table is reduced in thickness of a solidified layer, and a new layer of liquid resin covers the surface of the scanned layer. A scraper accurately scrapes this new resin layer to ensure its thickness Of uniformity. If there is a suspended structure on the entity, the processing software can determine and generate the necessary supporting process structure in advance. In order to prevent the molded body from sticking to the workbench, the processing software must first generate a grid-like frame at the bottom of the body to reduce the contact area between the body and the workbench.

The research of SLA rapid prototyping photocurable resins is a research hotspot in many universities at present. A large number of tests are required to verify the characteristics of photocurable resins, including the requirements of curing light intensity, curing speed, viscosity, glass transition temperature, and microhardness after curing. Because rapid prototyping systems are expensive, they are directly used for a large number of tests, which are generally not very realistic. The use of ordinary simple mercury lamps cannot meet the requirements of scientific research in terms of exposure control, quantification, and safety.
UVITRON launched a full-protection UV curing box (INTELLIRAY + RAYVEN), which can meet the conditions of photo-curable resin research.
1. Suitable light intensity: 100Mw / cm2 @ 320-390nm. And the light intensity can be adjusted from 50-100%. And by adjusting the position of the tray, more curing strength can be obtained.
2. Controllable exposure: built-in electronic shutter, you can freely set the exposure time. With UV MINDER light meter, it can measure the total energy mJ / cm2.
3. Comprehensive UV protection: During the curing process, RAYVEN shields ultraviolet radiation in all directions. Built-in door function, when the door is opened, the shutter is automatically closed / prevented from opening. After the curing is completed, the shutter automatically closes, and the cured product can be safely taken out.
Normally, photo-curable resin can be cured within 30S. The equipment is very compact and can be placed freely in your laboratory. You only need to connect the 220V power supply to start controllable light curing.
Using UVITRON's UV light curing box allows you to focus more on resin formulations, and the quantitative data obtained is more convincing.
